Often I feel as though the power of throw pillows is underestimated. They are the first thing to be taken off the list when clients want to cut costs. While all of the elements of a room are important, pillows are usually the item that will pull the room together. Adding throw pillows presents an opportunity to add pattern, texture, and/or a shot of color. Not only is it important to keep throw pillows on your list but you should also dedicate a decent amount of your budget towards them. If you are able to find a great deal on a beautiful pillow that is certainly a win but otherwise avoid settling for an inexpensive pillow if they don’t meet your design standards. If you have sewing skills consider making your own pillows. This allows for a wider range of fabric choices and could possibly save money if the price of the fabric is cost-effective. If you do go this route make sure to use high-quality inserts for comfort and a high-end look. There are many stores on my “go-to” list for sourcing pillows, but some favorites are The Citizenry https://sovrn.co/h0mm2hq , Lulu & Georgia https://sovrn.co/msfg9ty , Serena & Lily https://www.serenaandlily.com/?gclid=CjwKCAjwzNOaBhAcEiwAD7Tb6J6API8zqvGzrtmrMTlBP-MatSkCaoEUIfJTmNBUaAVXncMlHtsKGxoC_G0QAvD_BwE , Coterie https://sovrn.co/1np79ex , and Etsy https://sovrn.co/fxxntx8 .
